In life, no matter how we may try to deny it. Everyone has a Robin. Everyone has their own Robin. Everyone has that one person that changed their whole world. Twisted it upside down and downside up. Made their lives living hells with long-term crushes of "I-think-I'm-in-love-with-you"s and also highest "we-are-so-meant-to-be" moments. But no matter where or when, we are all bound to the same fated meeting with our own special Robin. But the question lies not in whether we meet them, but whether they are the one we end up with in the end?
As many people have probably known by now, timing sometimes is a b*tch. Worst part is, we can't control it. No matter how we try to change fate, if it is supposed to happen, it will. Force leads to nowhere in the end. But us being human beings, we have this.. ignorance? No, more like, inability to accept change, sometimes. We all know how hard it is to move on, even when that's the no.1 rule/advice we give to others that has their hearts broken by their Robins. We hold onto the slightest signs of hope and get through life by it.
So, the question is not about when we find the 'one', but if we are able to hold on to them forever. Sometimes, we never know if the particular person is our Robin and only after we lose them, we get this sudden realisation of how they meant the world to us. But, it's too late. So... What now?
Are we supposed to spend our lives regretting letting go of our Robins? Are we supposed to stay sad and lonely, hoping for them to finally notice and turn back to us? Or are we supposed to just watch them from the sidelines? Watch them live their lives happily with their own Robins? Well, that is up to ourselves, to a certain extent. Although fate indefinitely plays a part in shaping our lives, we also have the power to choose. Are we going to just give up? Or are we going to fight for our Robins? Whatever the choice, we will never know of the end product, but we would know that we tried everything possible to make sure that we got the best result we wanted.
So, go find your Robins, make a great memory with them, and I do hope it's a relationship that lasts a lifetime. Even if it's not, you know for a fact that you had the time of your life with them and you'll never regret that choice of being with them even for the slightest amount of time. :)
